But if you are looking for more natural, safe and sensible quick weight loss tips, then this article has been written just for you. That is as long as you realize that you will only get out what you put into any attempt at losing weight quickly. But as long as you are determined to succeed and are motivated to get up off whatever it is you've been sitting on and get out and do something for yourself, then you can be pretty certain that you have the bets chance of getting some quite amazing results.
So to get started, you will need to concentrate on four main points and work them simultaneously to get the best from these tips. They are:
Weight Loss Mental Attitude
You have to WANT to lose weight and want it bad enough to be prepared to work hard to get it. No slouching off and no cheating is allowed. You must be positive, keen and determined to get to a goal that you will set for yourself. If you are all fired up and ready to go, then here's what you must do:
Set your weight loss goal. Make it achievable and believable for you. Write it down in large letters on a large sheet of paper and set it someplace you will see it often during the day.
Here is an example. Mary is 170 pounds and wants to lose 10 pounds. Its now May 1 and she wants to achieve that goal by May 20. She decided to get really clever and write it out in the present tense so her goal read:
"I am so happy and grateful now that I weight 170 pounds on May 20."
Signed, Mary
Now that may read a little strange since it is not really in the present but in the future, but the mind can be prompted to expect that which seems to be in the future as being in the present. It's a psychological trick that is actually a powerful way to embed that idea in the brain so that your body responds by making it happen. But you do it however you think it would be best for you and believable by you.
Drink Water and Lose Weight
If you have been drinking a lot of soda, or other flavored drinks in place of water, its time to get tough with yourself. You don't need those drinks and they are doing you a lot of harm. Switch to plain water and you will amaze yourself at how much weight you can lose just by doing that small thing. You will need to drink around eight glasses of water a day and make sure you always drink one glass before each meal.
This not only hydrates you, it helps your digestive system to be more effective at processing the food you eat. It also helps you feel full sooner while eating a meal, helping to prevent overeating. Water also helps detoxify your body and reduce its overall acidity to normal levels (drinking soda raises acidity levels).
Diet to Lose Weight
Look closely at your diet. Is there a lot of bread and/or pasta in there? Do you eat a lot of processed foods that contain refined wheat flour and refined sugar? These foods contain high glycemic carbohydrates and are helping your body store more visceral fat. It's time to stop that and switch to more fresh fruit, vegetables lean meat and fish.
It probably sounds pretty obvious, but sugary things like cakes, pie, candy bars, chocolates, pastries, cookies etc are just empty calories and must be avoided if you are to lose weight at the kind of pace that you are aiming at. And it is also important that once you have lost that weight you don't go back and start eating them again.
Exercise
Saving the least loved of all weight loss ideas to last, you really do have to exercise daily if you want to burn off those excess calories and with them that store of unwanted fat. The harder you can exercise each day, the more of that unwanted fat you will lose over time.
But here's the thing. When you exercise hard, you will gain muscle mass as your muscles get stronger and you gain more stamina. This is a good thing as it means your body will tone up and look slimmer, which after all is what you are really aiming at when you lose weight. You want to look better and have a nicer, slimmer figure, right?
Just remember that muscle tissue weighs more than fat by volume, so while you will lose more fat than you will gain muscle, it will appear that you are not losing weight as fast as you think. But in reality, you are losing weight as well as getting yourself slimmer. At the end of the day, you can still lose the amount of weight you set in your goal (as long as it was achievable) and the best part is you will look great!
